ELIAS: Good morning.
DALE and ANONY: Good morning.
ELIAS: And what shall we be discussing?
ANONY: I’d like to start with some questions for some other people. Can you hear me all right, Elias?
ELIAS: Yes.
ANONY: These are questions from Ornah. First, he’d like to know if a name that you might give to his Dreamwalker aspect would be Kryonaus, with a “k.”
ELIAS: Correct.
ANONY: He wonders if the name Ly-oel is the name of a sub-level Dreamwalker aspect of his. And he doesn’t really know what he means by a sub-level aspect, but that came to him along with the name.
ELIAS: No, this would be an other-dimensional focus.
ANONY: I have a question for (name omitted). He’s very worried about something. He’s looking for some answers or some reassurance, but he doesn’t want to be specific about what’s bothering him. He says he’s tried subjectively connecting with you without any objective awareness of results. So his question is, is what he’s afraid of true, or is this an exercise in him groundlessly scaring the hell out of himself? (Pause)
ELIAS: I would not necessarily agree with the latter explanation, but I would express to him that the fear shall only be valid if he chooses to actualize that. I may express to him that it is his choice in how he is projecting his energy that shall create the manifestation of the fear or shall alter the direction and create a different scenario.
DALE: “The fear shall only be valid if he chooses to actualize it. It’s his choice of projection.” Was that pretty accurate, Elias?
ELIAS: Yes.
ANONY: Thanks. So Dale, do you want to go ahead?
DALE: Sure. Well, especially after hearing about Mary’s accomplishments, presently it seems like my life sucks and I don’t see it changing at all. I realize I do trust myself, but what I trust myself to create is not what I want. I feel I’m unable to create what I want, and many times I don’t even know what it is that I want and I have no motivation really to find out.
One thing I do want is to not worry about basic physical survival anymore. I think I’ve identified some of the general beliefs and maybe some of the specific beliefs — the general beliefs being co-creation and cause-and-effect, and the specific beliefs being that I must correct my so-called mistakes before I can choose what I want, that I must take punishment for those so-called mistakes, that I must stick with my choice whatever choice it is that I make, and that I’m a victim to my essence.
All this gives me a sense of impending doom and hopelessness that I also feel unable to alter. I hate feeling like this and many times I wish I didn’t exist. So, I’m creating quite a lot of trauma lately and I’m pretty tired of it, but I don’t know how to get out of it.
ELIAS: Now; in your identification of specific beliefs that are influencing your movement and influencing your choices, have you generated an awareness, a genuine awareness, that although these may be expressed beliefs, they are not true?
DALE: At times. But I can’t say that I... No, no. At times I have an awareness of it but for the most part, especially recently, no. I feel like I cannot choose outside of these beliefs, that they are true.
ELIAS: Very well.
DALE: Intellectually I do know that they’re not, but no, not for the most part. No.
ELIAS: I am understanding. Let us examine one, concerning fixing what you view to be past mistakes.
Now; what do you assess that you shall accomplish in that action?
DALE: I guess some kind of atonement or something so that I can go forward. It almost feels like I dug a hole and I can’t get out of the hole until I at least reach ground level first.
ELIAS: Which is quite strongly associated with religious beliefs.
Let me express to you, first of all that whatever experiences you have generated pastly, you have created purposefully. They may not necessarily be what you would term to be comfortable, but what you are generating now is not comfortable, either.
In this, you may generate choices and experiences that you express strong judgments in relation to yourself for having chosen certain experiences, especially if those experiences are involving other individuals, and you are judging yourself for the manner in which you have interacted with individuals as unacceptable.
Remember, any experience that you have generated in association with any other individual, THEY HAVE ALSO CREATED. Not that you are co-creating, but that your reality is so very specific and precise that there are actually no accidents, that any experience that you are generating and are participating with another individual, they also have drawn to their reality you and your energy to be specifically interactive with in a particular scenario.
Now; there are variables in all of these experiences, for although the other individual draws you to themselves to be specifically creating an interaction in a certain manner, they also may or may not be reconfiguring your energy, dependent upon why they have drawn you to their experience.
Now; if they have not reconfigured your energy, they may be drawing that to themselves to be offering themselves an experience which offers them information concerning themself. They may be experimenting, not in thought but in experience, with actually reconfiguring your energy. Therefore, their experience may not be the same as your experience.
Let me also express to you, individuals within your reality at times may be generating experiences in interaction with each other that they may subsequently view as hurtful and they may be experiencing regret or guilt.
Now; “in the moment” is what is necessary to evaluate. In the moment, was the individual intending to be hurtful, or was the individual generating an expression that may have been configured in a hurtful manner but that did not incorporate the intention to generate that action or that outcome? Also, in evaluating past experiences, even if you identify a particular experience or experiences in which you yourself did intend to be hurtful, continuing to incorporate judgment now and an expression of guilt merely reinforces the original intention.
Therefore, your power is within the now. It is not a situation of confronting a past experience, in a manner of speaking, but confronting yourself with your energy now, and recognizing that what you generate now alters the past and the future.
Therefore, contrary to expressed religious beliefs that generate this association that you must be offering some type of atonement for actions or expressions that you have incorporated past, that you must be offering apology or seeking forgiveness from other individuals and therefore allowing yourself to forgive yourself, I may express to you that although those are expressed beliefs, they are not true. Although they may be an individual’s truths, they are not true. Generally speaking, incorporating that type of action becomes quite disappointing, for it does not generate the outcome that the individual expects, and it does not set you free, so to speak.
What generates your own freedom is the recognition that whatever has been expressed in the past is continuously changing. It is not solid; it is not set in stone, so to speak. The past is continuously changing, regardless of how solid you think it appears to be, and it is continuously being altered by the present and the differences that you generate in perception.
Now; in relation to past experiences that you may be chastising yourself for and that you may view needs some expression of atonement, once you recognize that the past is altered by the present and that the present, the now, and the energy that you express now is what generates that alteration, you may also begin to recognize that the more you continue to incorporate these judgments with yourself and this guilt and this discounting of yourself, the more you hold those past experiences and the more you continue to generate the reinforcement of it, for you continue to express a similar energy outwardly.
But in allowing yourself to move, to be paying attention to what type of energy you are expressing now, and in your terms, letting go of your hold of past experiences and offering yourself the freedom to express the type of energy that you want now, without hindering yourself or without a prerequisite, you begin to automatically alter the past. And what you generate in energy creates a very different projection and persona of yourself now.
As an example, hypothetically, let us say that you have generated an interaction with another individual pastly in which you expressed strong conflict and perhaps in your interaction with the other individual have been verbally and perhaps even physically intentionally hurtful, and that you incorporated such strength in anger that you allowed yourself to express in an intensity of hurtfulness, what you would term to be mean.
Now; subsequently, a time framework is incorporated and you view the scenario differently. You are not incorporating that anger, you are paying attention to yourself and evaluating your actions, and now you move into an expression of judgment and of guilt and expressing to yourself, “I should not have incorporated that action. I should not have expressed myself in that manner. The other individual now dislikes me or refuses interaction with myself, for I have incorporated that hurtfulness. Therefore, I am responsible.”
Now; you are responsible for your energy, but you are not responsible for how the other individual configures that. You are responsible for the projection of your energy, but in that responsibility, what is significant is that if you are incorporating a recognition of yourself subsequently to an interaction and you are recognizing that your own expressions or behavior is unsatisfactory in your own estimation, your responsibility to yourself is to move into the expression of the little sapling. Not necessarily to be incorporating an interaction with the other individual to be expressing atonement for your actions or for your behaviors, but to be altering the energy that you are expressing now, which that same individual in this hypothetical scenario, without any apology, without any confrontation or interaction, shall recognize the difference in energy. THAT is your responsibility to YOURSELF, not to the other individual.
This is the reason that movement in the direction of these expressed religious beliefs is disappointing, for it does not generate the desired or expected outcome. For in actuality, it is not that you need be atoning to another individual but to yourself. But in that action, it is not that you must incorporate some type of punishment to yourself. You are already generating that action. The judgment and the guilt is already creating your own punishment to yourself, and is that accomplishing what you want? No. Are you allowing yourself your own freedom in this punishment of yourself? No. Are you allowing yourself to move forward or to move beyond these expressions and realize your freedom and acknowledge yourself? No. Are you offering yourself the freedom to appreciate yourself? No. Therefore, what are you accomplishing? For you ARE incorporating action. What you are accomplishing is reinforcing the energy that has been expressed previously, and holding yourself in this trap.
Your scenario of being within this hole is quite accurate, I must agree. For the more that you incorporate this judgment upon yourself and the guilt and the association that you must be punished, the more you dig the hole deeper. You move in the opposite direction of what you want.
DALE: Well, it all sounds very good in theory, but practicing it is a bit more challenging.
ELIAS: I am aware, and this is the reason that it is so very important that you express a genuine gentleness with yourself, my friend. Recognize how you would be expressing to another individual, for I am aware that you incorporate a natural expression of energy in which your responsiveness to another individual that may be generating a similar type of energy with themselves would be to be comforting, expressing a gentleness and a supportiveness of them — but you will not offer this to yourself. And how are you so very different from other individuals, other than your uniqueness?
DALE: Well, it’s that big black thing that I did.
ELIAS: Ah, and no other individual has incorporated their own scenarios of their “big black thing”!
DALE: True, but in fact, since I don’t think I’ve been focusing on others in comparing myself...
ELIAS: No, that is not the point. If another individual approached you and was interactive with you, and exposing their “big black thing”...
DALE: I would be much more accepting of it.
ELIAS: Yes.
DALE: I know. That part I do get, that I could at least treat myself as well as I treat others.
ELIAS: Yes. Remember the gentleness.
DALE: I know. And I’m not a victim to my essence, although that’s where I get confused, because what I trust is what I created in the past. You say that the unpleasant things that I created have been beneficial, and I don’t doubt that. But to think that I’m going to keep creating unpleasant things just for the benefit of it sucks.
ELIAS: But you have already created those types of experiences and you are not locked to creating what you have created pastly. It is your choice. The manner in which you stop being a victim of yourself or generating this association that you are a victim of your essence for it is directing you and you are not directing yourself — which once again is not true, for you are essence — but in this, the manner in which you change the energy that you are expressing and therefore allow yourself to choose different experiences is to be aware of what type of energy you are expressing now and allow yourself to either continue to incorporate that energy or to intentionally change that energy in generating choices that are more associated with your preferences.
I may offer you a suggestion also, in association with how you began this questioning. Perhaps you may incorporate some interaction with Michael, and that may also be somewhat beneficial in sharing experiences and generating a clearer objective understanding concerning reconfiguring energy and generating choices intentionally.
DALE: Okay.

(1) The “Little Sapling” analogy, from 9/13/95:
ELIAS: ...I will give you a small story which you may contemplate through this week. In this, be thinking of belief systems and of connections. My story incorporates two saplings, both exactly identical, both newly growing: one growing naturally and reaching towards the sun and basking within its rays and drinking naturally of the rain and resting to the moon.
The other is looking around and is viewing the sky and is seeing the sun and is saying to itself, “Maybe I should be growing at night. The sun is very hot. It may burn me or it may sap my energy, and the rain is very wet and it gets all over me and I am not sure I am liking of this rain and I am not sure that it is making me grow properly, and maybe I should be investigating where this rain is coming from and I should be analyzing the sunrays to be sure that I am incorporating the proper vitamins, or maybe the moon is more friendly to my growth and I would grow taller if I am growing at nighttime, while this idiot sapling next to me is being stunted by the sun.”
And in the morning, the one sapling is stretching its newly formed branches and uncurling its soft leaves and growing within complete trust, and the other sapling in the morning is viewing the same sun and is looking at the beautifully formed other sapling and it is looking like this: (Here, Elias twists his body and face into a grotesque contortion)
Now; this story is about belief systems and the noticing of these belief systems. It is also about trust and connection. It also incorporates proper personal responsibility. The one trusting sapling incorporates a genuine personal responsibility in not trying to change or help the analyzing sapling, but as it grows true and strong and trusting, it radiates an example. It shines in its essence as an example to the other sapling, and as the other sapling convolutes itself throughout the day, it notices the straight sapling and it chooses the focus of effortlessness and trust as being easier, for it has been shown an example. Therefore, be all the trusting straight saplings, radiating your example.
