Participants: Mary (Michael), Rex (Ummbya), and partner, (Jaahal)

(Elias’ arrival time is 14 seconds.)

ELIAS: Good morning!

PARTNER: Good morning!

REX: Good morning. (Elias chuckles)

ELIAS: And what shall we discuss?

REX: I mean, what does it look like from your viewpoint, anyway? (Laughs) Don’t even answer. (Elias laughs) I’ve got my partner on here, and, I don’t know, I guess let her start, she’s got some questions for you, sir.

ELIAS: Very well.

PARTNER: Hi, Elias!

ELIAS: Welcome.

PARTNER: I am excited to hear from you; I am appreciating that you respond to us. I have a quick question in regards to, a big...I guess I manifested it—I got involved into a big car accident—but, I got out of the car unharmed; there were two elderly (people) who were in the second car, and I just want to ask what’s your explanation regarding this?

ELIAS: And what is your impression?

PARTNER: My impression was I manifested it because I kept on thinking about my fear of driving—thinking about, “What if I got into an accident?” And, also, it included the things that were going on around me, lately.

ELIAS: And what information have you offered to yourself in association with that?

PARTNER: I thought I would experience this and, then, realized that to think about things in life—little things that we think don’t mean anything—it just opened my eyes, and that I just left off, in a way, but I got scared, also, experiencing that physical car accident.

ELIAS: I am understanding. But this is an example, to you, in regard to what you concentrate upon. Thought does not create your reality, but it does translate what you are concentrating upon, at times. Not entirely, but, many times, it translates how you are directing your attention. And, in that, it may also be associated with what you are concentrating upon.

Now; concentration is not, necessarily, based in thought. Concentration is associated with your beliefs. And, in this, if you are generating a concentration of your energy upon fear and protection, continuously, you create what you concentrate upon.

Therefore, if your concentration is associated with fear, you shall create the very manifestations that you fear. For you are, continuously, expressing energy in that direction and concentrating upon that creation.

What is significant, in these types of situations, is to be interrupting that concentration, to be noticing what you are doing, and, in that, distract yourself and interrupt that flow of energy, therefore, not allowing yourself to continue in that type of expression. This, also, is associated with action that you incorporate, quite often, in expressing the role of victim, in many different manners, that either your own fears create you as a victim, or actions of other individuals that you disagree with, or that you dislike, also influence this victim expression. And, in that, you express more and more of a powerlessness.

This experience has been an example to you to pay attention—to pay attention to how you are expressing your energy, what you are concentrating upon, what you react to, what you respond to, and what you deny within yourself that prevents you from expressing your own freedom and your own power.

PARTNER: Elias, I am so confused, at this point, and the freedom that I want to have has not been able to preside between my family that I left behind and, also, in my relationship with my partner, right now. And I don’t know what I am denying from myself or I’m just fearful; that’s, probably, why I didn’t decide, or I guess...(Inaudible)

ELIAS: What generates the fear?

PARTNER: Mostly, of being alone, probably; I’m not sure. Or not being able to stand on my own.

ELIAS: Which is an expression of not trusting yourself. And what motivates this fear of being alone or not incorporating the ability to sustain yourself?

PARTNER: It’s probably mostly physical, like somebody will...like you said: I feel I’m always a victim—something will happen to me if I’m alone. Either way, I know I can stand on...I can be able to...I don’t know if the word “support” is the...(Inaudible).

ELIAS: First of all, are you alone now?

PARTNER: No, I’m with Rex, my partner.

ELIAS: I am understanding. Therefore, you are generating an anticipated fear, not an actual fear of an action that is occurring presently.

Therefore, my first suggestion to you, to be interrupting this concentration and this fear, is to move your attention to the now. To not be dwelling upon experiences of past and to not be projecting and anticipating experiences or actions of future, but, rather, to be paying attention to what you are actually doing and engaging now.

And, in that, also, generate an exercise, in which, each time you notice that you are beginning to experience an uneasiness, and you are beginning to experience some element of fearfulness, allow yourself to notice; stop, and move your attention to some accomplishment that you have generated within your day. It matters not what the accomplishment is. It matters not whether it is perceived to be a large or a small accomplishment. The point is that you acknowledge some type of accomplishment, within your day, for that interrupts the energy of the fear, and it moves your attention into an acknowledgment of yourself which reinforces your trust. The more you reinforce the trust of yourself, the more you dissipate the fear. And this, also, is helpful in allowing you to move more into an acceptance of self.

I shall also express to you the suggestion that you incorporate another exercise, and, in that, at least two or three times within your day, allow yourself to generate some expression of appreciation of yourself. This is quite important. For this, also, reinforces your acceptance of yourself and your trust of yourself.

Appreciation is a powerful expression and generates a powerful energy, which, also, can familiarize yourself with the experience of the powerfulness of your own energy, which shall also dissipate this expression of being the victim. Pay attention to what you are actually doing, not, necessarily, what you are thinking, but what you are actually doing, and what type of energy is being expressed in that.

Let me express to you, my friend, in every moment, you each are incorporating many actions simultaneously. But, generally speaking, you are merely aware of one. As an example, in this moment, now, what are you doing?

PARTNER: I’m listening to you, Elias.

ELIAS: And?

PARTNER: I’m paying attention.

ELIAS: And?

PARTNER: And I’d like to say, I am appreciating myself in being able to listen to you, and concentrating on what you’re saying.

ELIAS: And?

PARTNER: I’m feeling relief, and I don’t have any fear, at this moment.

ELIAS: And what is occurring within your room?

PARTNER: I feel a little bit like my body is having this tingling sensation.

ELIAS: Yes, which is associated...

PARTNER: I’m laughing!

ELIAS: ...which is associated with my energy. But what, also, is physically occurring within your room?

PARTNER: Oh, there’s a fan, an electric ceiling fan, that’s working.

ELIAS: Yes.

PARTNER: And Rex is on the other side of the room listening.

ELIAS: Yes. And what are you aware of in your posture?

PARTNER: I’m sitting. At first, I was kind of slumped down, and I’m, suddenly, sitting straight up.

ELIAS: Yes.

PARTNER: And I was holding the phone really tensely and hard, and, now, I’m more relaxed.

ELIAS: Yes. These are all actions that you are doing, and your periphery is inputting information continuously. All of your senses—your outer senses and your inner senses—are engaged, and they are all inputting information, and you are responding. Your body consciousness responds. You may not, necessarily, be objectively aware, for, initially, what you are paying attention to is that you are listening, but there are many other actions that you are engaging. And this is the reason that it is significant to pay attention to what you are doing. In noticing, in this moment, in our conversation, what you were doing, what did you actually do? You acknowledged yourself.

PARTNER: Sir, I have a another quick question.

ELIAS: Very well.

PARTNER: I read, recently, about Essence Family, Orientation, and Alignment, and could you tell me which family I belong to and my Orientation?

ELIAS: And your impression?

PARTNER: I was thinking; I am guessing my impression is Sumari/Tumold. And in my Orientation, I’m not sure if I’m...I think I’m between Common and Soft. I can’t decide, really, what my Orientation is.

ELIAS: I may express to you, your impression concerning Essence Families is correct, and as to Orientation: Common.

PARTNER: Okay. That’s good. And I’m aligned to the other family of Tumold?

ELIAS: Yes.

PARTNER: Okay, thank you. I’m giving the phone to Rex.

REX: Okay, how about Focus?

PARTNER: Oh, Focus? I want to also...

REX: What Focus (Type) is she, Elias?

Elias: Emotional.

PARTNER: Oh, yeah, I am.

REX: That figures.(Both laugh)

PARTNER: Also, my question, my last one, Elias, if I may, how can I improve my painting? I’m an artist, also, besides being a medical nurse.

ELIAS: Practice these exercises.

PARTNER: Okay.

ELIAS: And pay attention, in the moment; in acknowledging and appreciating yourself, you shall relax your energy. And in accomplishing relaxing your energy, you shall allow yourself more openness to your own creativity and generate more inspiration.

REX: What’s her Essence Name? Ask about your Essence Name.

PARTNER: Oh, my Essence Name, Elias?

ELIAS: Essence Name: (Pause) Jaahal J-A-A-H-A-L.

REX: J-A-A-H-A-L?

ELIAS: Yes.

PARTNER: Sounds like a Muslim name.

REX: Jaahal, Jaahal; that’s cool! Hey, what’s my Essence Name, Elias? I forgot to ask last time. I tried to get it, but I just couldn’t get anything. (Elias chuckles)

ELIAS: Essence Name: Ummbya U-M-M-B-Y-A.

REX: Again? U-M-M...

ELIAS: Yes.

REX: ...two M’s, huh? B-Y-A?

ELIAS: Yes.

REX: Ummbya. Sounds like I’m from Africa! (Elias laughs)

PARTNER: Elias, I thank you very much, and I appreciate my Being, and I appreciate you, too.

ELIAS: And I express tremendous encouragement to you, my friend, and shall be expressing my energy with you in supportiveness.

PARTNER: Thank you.

REX: Elias...

PARTNER: Thank you very much.

ELIAS: You are quite welcome.

REX: I’m curious about my Political Focus and what it means in my everyday life. More appropriately, what it means in my writing. I’m getting into this, this screenplay I’m writing, and you’ve help me a little bit. Especially, lately, I was having a problem with some of the dialogue, and so forth, and I wonder if my make-up is good for writing, with my Sumari/Vold, Common, Political. Am I making any sense? (Elias laughs)

ELIAS: Yes, and I may express to you that all of these elements of yourself, in your focus, would lend themselves well to the creativity of writing.

REX: Okay, thanks. Okay, now, here’s a wild thing because, you see, I’m writing a screenplay because I’m writing...it’s about Shift, and it’s a simple little story about kids sitting around in a group and objectifying things, like Sai Baba does, and so I’ve checked into what you said about Sai Baba, and that we can all do it if we just could get in the position to doing it, and I’m thinking to myself, I’d like to at least move something around, like a pen on a table or something. You know, I’ve been into that a lot, and I even went...took a thing, and we had one thing on spoon bending. Well, I couldn’t bend a spoon, (Elias laughs) unless I did it under the table with my hands. (Elias laughs) So do I have a potential of spoon bending or objectifying something? Man, that would sure help my whole idea of expressing it in writing what it takes.

ELIAS: (Laughs) Yes, you can accomplish these actions; it is a matter of attention and concentration of energy and a lack of doubt.

REX: Yeah, that’s probably the biggie for me, or for anybody, I guess—the doubt thing.

ELIAS: (Chuckles) Yes.

REX: Okay, so that’s your advice on that?

ELIAS: Trusting your ability and not doubting, but, also, concentrating your energy, being very focused.

REX: Focused, yeah, focused, focused, man, that, you know, so much...

ELIAS: Being focused is not, necessarily, thinking; remember, thought does not create your reality. It interprets what you are doing.

REX: You know, you’re really breaking new ground on that. For as far as I’m concerned, a lot of disciplines that I’ve checked into or been a part of, just they don’t go past that thought is a translation communication medium, and so, now, I’m trying to do the more complete perception thing, which is a focus thing. Can you help me with that, if you will?

ELIAS: That is a matter of focusing energy—being aware of your energy and how it is being projected. Becoming familiar with energy, first of all. Becoming familiar with your own energy, and how it is expressed, how it feels, and how you direct it. And, in this, recognizing that thought, also, is not a communication. Thought is a translating mechanism.

REX: Translating, yes.

ELIAS: Therefore, it translates your communications, but it only translates what you are paying attention to. Therefore, it is a matter of how you are directing your attention that will be indicated in association with thought. If you are not paying attention to emotional communications, you shall not translate that into thought, and, therefore, you may miss messages. Or you may offer to yourself incomplete translations, or inaccurate translations, dependent upon how you are directing your attention.

This is the reason, as I have expressed, many times, previously, you can think, and think, and think, and think, and think and not, necessarily, create what you are thinking. For it is a matter of concentration, not thought. And it is a matter of how you are directing your attention and how you are directing your energy.

REX: So I’m sitting in front of the computer, looking at what I’ve written so far on this particular screenplay, and I’m coming up with dialogue, and I guess I’m concentrating on the characters and what they would say. Can you add anything onto that?

ELIAS: What you are concentrating upon is not what you are thinking. What you are thinking is pondering conversation or dialogue. What you are concentrating upon is anticipation of revelation. Now...

REX: That’s what I should be doing—anticipation of revelation.

ELIAS: In (Pause) that is what you are doing, but what type of energy does that generate? That generates tension.

REX: Tension.

ELIAS: For it generates anticipation, and, in that anticipation, you, automatically, create tension, and you create pushing. Once you begin anticipation and pushing of energy, you block creativity, and you do not allow for a free flow. This is the point of paying attention to your energy and what you are actually projecting. If you allow yourself to relax and move into an interruption of that concentration, perhaps, in the action of engaging imagination, imagining in a direction that incorporates no association with the play or the characters.

REX: Okay.

ELIAS: That allows you to generate more of a free flow of energy.

REX: Imagination in the place of the character.

ELIAS: Not of the character.

PARTNER: What? What?

ELIAS: Not of the character. Allow yourself to engage imagination in an entirely different direction that incorporates no association with your story. The point, in this, is to interrupt that concentration and pushing of energy.

Therefore, if you are generating imagination and visualizing enormous dragons, and the dragons flying in cooperative dance with giant butterflies, you are distracting your attention from the task, which allows you to free your energy, allows you to relax, allows you to move in another direction in which you are not pushing energy, in which you are not concentrating upon an anticipated revelation, but rather allowing yourself a free flow of creativity, in which, in another moment, you can re-engage your story, in a more relaxed manner, in the now, which shall allow you to express your creativity more fully.

REX: Okay, okay. I think we’re out of time.

ELIAS: (Chuckles) Very well, my friend.

REX: And, oh, God, thank you for our association thing. Thanks for being in my experience.

ELIAS: You are quite welcome. I express great appreciation of you, also. And I shall be offering my energy to you, also, in supportiveness and encouragement. Remember playfulness. (Chuckles).

REX: Okay, okay, playfulness.

ELIAS: To you, in tremendous friendship and great affection.

REX: All right, adios.

ELIAS: Until our next meeting, au revoir.

REX: Au revoir.

(Elias departs after 33 minutes, 39 seconds.)
