ELIAS: Good morning!
NUNO: Thank you, my friend, and warm greetings to you as well.
ELIAS: (Chuckles) And what have you been accomplishing?
NUNO: I’ve been attempting to shift my awareness away from the objective awareness and towards the subjective awareness to some degree.
ELIAS: Ah! And how are you coming along with that?
NUNO: I’m not sure really. I was intending to ask you that question myself. And what I do is there is kind of an energy exercise that I do, just something I do with my energy. I kind of shift it in a way that I think I’m, or I’m attempting to bring the subjective awareness more prominently. And it definitely has an effect on me. I can feel the body consciousness react to that and it seems to be when I do that, my communications to the body consciousness are faster. But I’m not really sure what I’m actually accomplishing with that.
ELIAS: And how precisely are you engaging?
NUNO: Well, what I was going to do, I was going to actually engage it while I’m having this discussion with you and you could observe my energy. I was wondering if that would be useful?
ELIAS: It’s possible, although I would say that I would ask you how you would intend on engaging that action, how you would be actually monitoring your subjective awareness?
NUNO: Well, I’m not really. I’m just trusting that it is occurring to some extent. It’s not like I feel or experience a large change in my awareness becoming more subjective. It’s not what I am currently experiencing. That’s what I would like. Mostly I sense the body consciousness reacting to it. I get a slight discomfort in the stomach, slight nausea. It’s not really all that different than my usual energy exercises, but it is something I do with my energy in attempting to shift that attention, or rather that awareness, towards the subjective. And it’s hard to describe in words what I do.
ELIAS: Now, remember what I have expressed in relation to the inner landscape, that that actually IS the subjective awareness creating imagery, and that is an excellent avenue to be actually objectively aware of what you are subjectively expressing.
NUNO: Yes. You know, to be honest, I really don’t know what I’m doing here. It’s just that I had an idea that I would like to try and shift the awareness more towards the subjective and so I attempted to do that, and I get some kind of reaction. That’s where I’m at with that. It’s maybe not being effective at all in that manner, it’s just something that I do with my energy.
ELIAS: What I would say is I would express to you that it may not necessarily be (pause) beneficial to you if your gauge of action and awareness is becoming nauseous, because that seems to be a familiar with your body. And in that, remember what I have expressed many times previously with other individuals: once your body moves in a particular direction of creating a physical manifestation, it will generally repeat that because it’s easy. And in this, you have a tendency to move in the direction of generating nausea as a physical manifestation and I would simply caution you in relation to that, that you’re not moving in a direction of beginning to create something that is immobilizing you again.
NUNO: Okay. I understand that. I’ll be—
ELIAS: Yes, be aware and therefore simply be cautious.
NUNO: Okay. Very well.
ELIAS: But what would you like to engage and how? And what do you want to know about it?
NUNO: Well, I had some questions about that. What I want to, like I say, what I want to do is shift my awareness more towards the subjective and my reason for wanting to do that is it seems that the subjective awareness, besides being what maintains the body consciousness, and therefore have more direct influence on the body consciousness which is important to me, but in addition it’s kind of my impression that the subjective awareness is actually the source of information, the source of non-objective information, and that obviously is of interest to me too.
ELIAS: Very well.
NUNO: So that’s my motivation, and I was wanting to develop that ability to shift my awareness more towards the subjective for those reasons.
ELIAS: Very well. I would say that those are valid reasons.
NUNO: So, you’re going to tell me I should practice the inner landscape for this, right?
ELIAS: No, not necessarily. I merely mentioned it because it is an easy avenue in which you can be gauging the subjective, and that you are actually engaging the subjective aspect of your awareness and therefore be able to interpret what you’re doing with it. But no, not necessarily. If you want to move in a different direction in exploring it in different capacities, that is entirely acceptable also.
NUNO: I’ve been making some progress with the inner landscape in that I found that focusing my vision upon an actual, physical landscape I can at times – not very frequently, but at times – I can actually create within the physical landscape, you know, a component that is from the subjective. That is, in other words, it’s non-physical. And I’ve experienced that once or twice and I think that that’s maybe a better way for me to approach the inner landscape. And talking to one individual that he uses images on his computer or device, images of landscapes, as kind of a background for that, would you say that that’s effective?
ELIAS: What I would say in relation to that is that I wouldn’t entirely discourage it, but what I would say is it’s important that you’re not using something objective such as that to a degree in which it becomes a distraction. Because the point is in using the inner landscape, you are not objectively directing anything. And in that, objectively all you’re doing is relaxing and observing. And in that, you’re not necessarily exercising the objective part of your awareness, other than engaging that action of observation. And that is important because it, even in relation to what you’re expressing, what you want to be doing is engaging more of your subjective awareness or being more aware of that. In relation to that, it’s a matter of somewhat setting the objective awareness off to the side.
Now, not entirely – because if you were doing that then you would be sleeping – but that you are setting it off to the side, in which you’re not engaging it in a directing type of capacity, and therefore allowing yourself to be more attentive to the subjective expression and movement.
Now, in that, in the inner landscape when you’re creating imagery, you’re creating imagery in an abstract manner, which is what the objective awareness does, but you’re also being slightly more specific in that imagery in that whatever is being created in the imagery is easy to interpret. It’s not the same as dream imagery, in which that can be for most people somewhat challenging to interpret because it’s so abstract and because you don’t necessarily have a beginning framework. Which with the inner landscape you do, because you have an intention and the inner landscape is being expressed directly in association with that intention.
Therefore it’s not quite as abstract as dream imagery. And in that, it is directly responding to what you have expressed as an intention. Dreams don’t always do that. You can express an intention in relation to your dreams and because they are so abstract, they, they will be associated with your intention but it won’t be as direct.
Now, in relation to what you’re saying, it’s a matter of you CAN create something, some visual aid let us say, as long as you’re not actually objectively doing something. Because as soon as you begin objectively doing anything, you create a significant distraction and then the subjective expression will fade into the background again and you won’t understand it.
NUNO: Okay. I thought with the inner landscape actually it wasn’t necessary to understand the imagery. It was simply that it—
ELIAS: You don’t have to understand it. But I was expressing that in relation to what you’re talking about, that you want to be paying more attention to the subjective awareness and therefore perhaps be more aware of what is happening with the subjective awareness. In that, you don’t have to be aware or interpreting what’s happening with the inner landscape, but if you’re doing it in relation to what you’re expressing, then it might be significant to be aware and to allow yourself to interpret. And it’s not that difficult to interpret the expression of the inner landscape because it is directly associated with what your intention is. Therefore you have a framework.
But you don’t have to use that. You can create your own method. You’re very good at that and I would say that if you don’t want to use the inner landscape, you don’t have to. You can use your own method and that is entirely acceptable also, as you already know.
NUNO: Okay. Yes. Well I have expressed to you that I find the inner landscape somewhat challenging, the challenge being maintaining my attention upon it. That’s the piece that is most challenging to me.
ELIAS: That’s actually understandable because the objective awareness is, in relation to attention, the dominant factor of awareness. It’s not that it is actually more dominant than the subjective, but in relation to attention it is. And therefore in relation to attention, your – for some people, actually for many people – your objective awareness wants to be—
(Audio is interrupted)
ELIAS: Continuing. As I was expressing, that in relation to the objective awareness being the dominant factor in relation to attention, not in relation to awareness, in that, when your objective awareness is being intentionally placed in a position in which it is, mm, (pause) in the recessive position, let us say, it will likely become for many individuals bored and then want to struggle to regain that dominant position in relation to attention.
NUNO: Is there something that can, that I can do, to address to that?
ELIAS: (Pause) I would say it’s a matter of how you’re paying attention. In that, think about when you are watching an actual movie, a film. Generally speaking, you can incorporate a certain amount of time and watch a movie without becoming restless. And in this, it’s somewhat a matter of perceiving it in a similar manner.
Now, the difference in this is that if you were watching an actual film and it was beginning slowly and there wasn’t much action or dialog occurring in the beginning of the film, you’d likely become restless quickly. Therefore it’s a matter of something holding your attention to begin with.
Now, that can be a clue, which means it’s a matter of what you choose as your photograph, what you choose as your initial picture. And in that, choose something that holds your objective awareness in attention. Therefore, with different aspects, create a picture that is intricate, that there are many different components to the picture. A meadow may not be interesting enough. Pick something that is an intricate landscape that has many different components to observe before they’re even moving. The more complex the picture is, the more likely it will hold your attention.
NUNO: Okay. I’ll give that a try. That makes sense to me and I like the movie analogy. I think that that’s something I can work with.
I’ve got a bunch of questions here. A couple of quick ones. We discussed on the subject of nutrition, you said that raw vegetables provide little nutrition. In order to release the nutrition they need to be cooked. I wondered if that applies as well to fruit?
ELIAS: No. It does not, actually. I would say that fruit is different and the actual sugar component in fruit does actually release most of the nutritional value.
NUNO: Okay, excellent. And would that be true for tomatoes as well? Tomatoes actually is a fruit.
ELIAS: Yes.
NUNO: Okay. Excellent. Excellent. Then my other question is what is the most effective way to remove ear wax?
ELIAS: (Pause) Warm water. Most people will engage that action in the shower, but you can also engage that in other capacities, in flushing the ear with warm water.
NUNO: Okay. I actually have an apparatus for doing that, so I just wanted to check that that was an appropriate way to do that.
ELIAS: Yes. That would be the most effective.
NUNO: And my impression is that this is something that the body consciousness can be directed to not produce so much wax or… or produce it in a manner that doesn’t affect the hearing?
ELIAS: Yes.
NUNO: The other question I have is callouses. How can I eliminate them?
ELIAS: Callouses are a natural expression and, in a manner of speaking, defense mechanism of the body with the skin, that callouses are developed in any and every area of the skin that is being rubbed consistently. Whenever some object or even another part of your body is coming into contact with a part of your skin consistently and is up against it, even if it’s skin up against skin, if it is consistently happening in the same area, your skin will naturally develop a callous to protect that area of your body, to protect that area of your skin. Otherwise your skin will be ruptured. And in that, you would have sores in many different places in your body. And therefore, this is the body’s function to prevent that from happening.
If you want to prevent callouses from happening, then it’s a matter of looking at where you are developing them and how to cushion your skin so that it doesn’t have that constant irritation.
NUNO: I’m aware of all of that. The situation is that I’ve actually developed a callous already from that kind of action and the cause of it has been eliminated. I addressed to that, but the callous still remains and I was wondering if there was a way to have the callous removed?
ELIAS: (Pause) Where is it?
NUNO: It’s on my left foot. It’s like the small toe of my left foot.
ELIAS: (Pause) I would say to you very realistically, my friend, unless you learn to stop walking you aren’t eliminating the situation of why the callous is in that particular place. I would say that it’s a matter of how you hold your feet.
Now, you CAN eliminate that by looking at how that is expressed, where it is expressed, and then adjusting your posture and how you walk and in that, cushioning your feet in relation to how they are placed in that walking action. In that, if you are properly cushioning all the areas of your foot and you are aware of your posture and your feet are actually connecting with the ground in an even and balanced capacity – which is considerably difficult; therefore, I will warn you about that – but in doing so, you can eliminate the callous and prevent it from reoccurring.
Otherwise, I would say that you can actually in different actions eliminate the callous and if you don’t change what is creating it, then you’re likely going to create a wound and that will be more bothersome than the callous.
NUNO: Okay. I understand. I know how the callous got developed and it was because of inappropriate footwear, and which I wore for about—
ELIAS: But that, let me say to you my friend, and this is, this is significant information also because inappropriate footwear can actually alter how you step. Your body compensates and then it becomes accustomed to a particular posture. And in that, even if you correct the shoes, the body has then learned a particular step and a particular posture, and that doesn’t necessarily correct simply because you alter the shoes.
NUNO: Okay. I will pay more attention to the manner in which I walk. I believe that, at least I was believing that my walk was the normal. I just had, I’d say, a problem with my shoes some months ago and the callous took off at that time, and it’s still there. But okay. I will deal (inaudible) with that.
I’ve got a question about psilocybins in mushrooms. Are you understanding me?
ELIAS: Yes.
NUNO: Okay. And I’ve experimented with that recently a little bit. The first question I have about that is, is it beneficial to me?
ELIAS: It can be. It depends on what you’re using them for.
NUNO: Well, I don’t really know. I guess I’m using it for, in an attempt to enhance the directions that I’m already moving in.
ELIAS: I would say then, yes. And actually, in relation to your direction of wanting to be more aware of the subjective, you could actually use that substance in that capacity to be very beneficial.
NUNO: Okay. Is there anything specific I should do in addition to just simply ingesting it, in order to derive that benefit?
ELIAS: (Pause) I would say (pause) in like manner to the inner landscape, you could actually do this in lieu of the inner landscape and what I would say is, in the same capacity, simply don’t attempt to be directing it. Allow and pay attention to what you present to yourself.
NUNO: Okay. Now I have been using fairly small dosages because I wanted to make sure the body consciousness was not going to react badly to this, and it hasn’t. But some people speak of having so-called cosmic experiences and I don’t get anything like that. What I do experience is somewhat similar to what I experience in my energy exercises, but far more intense and if I close my eyes I get some interesting visualizations which are abstract, but I tend to think of those as being energy visualizations. I notice also that for a few days, two or three after I have ingested the substance, it affects my, I guess my behavior, in a beneficial way. I am more accepting. I am less irritable. I’m just generally being more myself, I guess. But beyond that, I think in order to get more of an experience from it I need to increase the dosage. So my question is, how do I know what the right dosage is for me? Currently I’ve been experimenting with something of around 600 milligrams. And also, how frequently would be an appropriate interval?
ELIAS: I would suggest that you not be engaging it more frequently than approximate once every ten days. And this is something that you will have to experiment with, as far as amount is concerned. I would say that you could increase that by 200 milligrams and then observe how you express a tolerance for that. And if it becomes uncomfortable, then decrease again. Or if that appears to be acceptable, then maintain with that for a time. Don’t keep increasing because you seem to be tolerating it well with an increase. Allow your body to assimilate that and to adjust to the increase. Therefore I would say that if you increase and you tolerate it well, then maintain at that amount for perhaps the next two times that you engage it. And then if you continue to tolerate that well, then if you choose, you can increase it again. I wouldn’t suggest that you increase more than 200 milligrams at a time because you don’t want to overwhelm your body, and your psyche is part of your body. And in that, you don’t want to overwhelm any of your aspects of your body.
And let me also express to you, my friend, people’s experiences are different and the factor that some people express that they have considerable spiritual experiences with this substance doesn’t mean that they’re having a better experience than you. It is simply different. And in that, there are many different factors that contribute to an individual’s experience. Some people are much more visual. Some people are more suggestible. Some people are more imaginative, let us say. Therefore any of those components will alter an individual’s experience. And in that, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re giving themself any more information that is, let us say, usable or that they are using. They simply may be engaging an experience that’s interesting and fun, but they might not actually do anything with it.
You, on the other hand, are moving in a direction with an intention. Therefore that’s also different. And in that, it also will color what your experience is. Your experience might not be as psychedelic, let us say, as someone else’s. But what you take away from the experience may be more useful.
NUNO: Okay. I understand that. Thank you for that.
ELIAS: You are very welcome.
NUNO: And another question here. I’ve been tapping into an energy of a past success with the intent of recreating that energy for a present success or perhaps a future success. Is that effective?
ELIAS: Very much so. Yes. I would say that that is actually an excellent method.
NUNO: Then I will continue.
ELIAS: Very well.
NUNO: Another quick question here. I’m fragmented from Seth and Lawrence, and it was Ordin was the third? Is that correct?
ELIAS: Yes.
NUNO: Okay. And that’s the essence that specializes, so to speak, or has an interest in nature?
ELIAS: (Pause) Yes. Physical. Therefore nature would be included in that.
NUNO: Okay. Just wanted to make sure I got the right information there. Scott has a question. He’d like to know, does he have any unaddressed hidden trauma, and if so, can the inner landscape be used to address to that? And what intention would be helpful with that?
ELIAS: (Laughs) Does he have unaddressed trauma that he’s not aware of? No.
NUNO: Okay. Then I think that’s really all he needed to know on that then.
ELIAS: But I would say, simply as an aside and information, that if a person had unaddressed trauma that they are not aware of, they could use the inner landscape to discover that.
NUNO: Okay. We were talking about dreams, or you were expressing information about dreams earlier. And actually on occasion, not very frequently but on occasion, I do get some very explicit non-symbolic information in dreams which I find very valuable. For example, recently I presented to myself just before I awoke, which is the manner in which I do this if there is like an important information I want to express to myself, I will present it in a dream just before I wake so I remember it. And recently, what was presented was the words, “Everything is all okay.” Just like that. And it was presented in writing, very, very explicitly.
So my first perhaps note that was I should be repeating it to myself, which I have been doing and I believe it’s been helpful to me. Additionally, I then kind of processed that and I thought that perhaps the reason it’s effective is because I sometimes have kind of a low-level background concern going on that I’m not even necessarily aware of. It’s kind of anxiety, kind of a low-level anxiety about am I succeeding, am I doing enough, do I make the right choices? And the presentation of that statement kind of highlighted that yes, I do sometimes have that kind of anxiety in the background. So I’d like to know, am I correct on that assessment?
ELIAS: Yes, you are. And I would also say yes, you’re correct that this would be, in a manner of speaking, an excellent mantra.
NUNO: Yeah. I’ve been using it a lot and it’s been very effective. Oh, I should actually tell you just for the purpose – not that you don’t know already – but just for our audience here that the repetition that I had been using for the blood pressure has been extremely—
ELIAS: Yes.
NUNO: — extremely effective.
ELIAS: And I would express congratulations, my friend.
NUNO: Thank you.
ELIAS: You see, you COULD accomplish with that.
NUNO: I have accomplished with that. (Elias laughs) And this is like a game-changer for me. The repetition thing is very effective for myself, and so I’ve been using it for various intentions.
ELIAS: Excellent. I would say that can be very effective and very beneficial. It simply depends on what it is and being certain that you’re not repeating, reinforcing something that you don’t want.
(The timer for the end of the session rings)
ELIAS: But other than that, I would say that the repetition can be tremendously helpful.
NUNO: Okay. Excellent. Just a quick question from Scott also. Scott has been researching a certain company stock, Bed Bath and Beyond, for some time now. He has impressions to purchase the stock at different times and used tarot to validate those impressions, and it was correct. He recently asked tarot two more questions and both answers came back as yes, validating his research and impressions. He would like confirmation for his latest two questions, to see if his intuition is correct. He validated his intuition with the tarot, but would like to get a validation from you.
ELIAS: (Pause) Correct.
NUNO: Oh, he will be very pleased to hear that. (Elias laughs) Would you say that the repetition can be as effective as the inner landscape?
ELIAS: It can be. Yes.
NUNO: Okay. Excellent. Well, my friend, thank you once again for your information. It’s always wonderful to have these discussions with you, and I greatly appreciate everything you do for me and your interactions with me, all of that.
ELIAS: You are tremendously welcome, my friend. And I would express that it is a pleasure to be interacting with you and I very much appreciate our friendship.
I shall greatly be anticipating our next meeting, and I will be offering my energy to you as always in support and encouragement. In wondrous love and dear friendship as always, au revoir.
NUNO: Au revoir.
(Elias departs after 57 minutes
